The Mi Band 6 features a 1.56-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with a resolution of 152 x 486 pixels, which translates into a pixel density of 450 nits. It s waterproof and can resist underwater for up to 50 meters. The fitness tracker gets the power from a 125mAh battery touted to deliver up to 14 days of battery life. Other aspects include Bluetooth 5.0, a charging time of up to two hours, support for 30 sports models including cycling, walking, indoor treadmill, and others, a SpO2 sensor for blood oxygen monitoring, 24/7 blood pressure monitoring and sleep tracking among others.
Should You Buy Mi Band 6 Or Mi Band 5?
While it is evident that the latest edition will be a clear-cut winner in the affordable fitness tracker market segment, it depends on how different it is from its prequel, the Mi Smart Band 6. Notably, Xiaomi has introduced a few key changes to the Mi Band 6 including a larger display of 1.56 inches as compared to the 1.1-inch screen on its predecessor. However, the wearable still misses out on an ambient light sensor. The key differences between the Mi Band 5 and Mi Band 6 also include the sensors. While only the Chinese variant of the Mi Band 5 came with a SpO2 sensor, all standard variants of the Mi Band 6 come with this sensor that can quickly track blood oxygen levels. There are some notable sports tracking additions too, which takes it to 30 from 11 in its predecessor. Having detailed the differences, you can opt for the Mi Band 6 if you are in for additional aspects such as all-day stress tracking, sports tracking, and more. However, these could have an effect on the battery life of the wearable.
